These images were an attempt to escape from the usual tourist sights and many images can be considered “off the beaten path” on my trip to Russia in 2014. My journey began in Moscow then by fast train over to St. Petersburg. The Moscow subway is a place not to be missed....the artwork in each and every station is exquisite and all different in style and type....sculpture, stained glass art and so on. Unbelievably and expensively elegant.
At the time my husband, my son and I visited Russia about 80 percent of American travelers has cancelled their Russia visit. Most visitors were from Europe and Asia. Be sure and read about the very famous Eliseevsky Grocery in Moscow.
